I told my mom our big news tonight. She came over to see her favorite grand-dog and while she was loving on Scout I offered her some chocolate. Here is how our conversation went:
Elizabeth: "Do you want some chocolate?"
Granny Roady: "YEAH! I want some chocolate! What kind is it?"
Elizabeth: "It's this new American/English hybrid." hands chocolate bar to Granny Roady
Granny Roady: reads label of chocolate "He or She; you'll have to wait and see. Does it have nuts in it?"
Elizabeth: "Did you read the label?"
Granny Roady: "Yes. Does that mean it has nuts in it?"
Elizabeth: "Maybe you should turn it over and read the back..."
Granny Roady: flips chocolate bar over and reads - The Mulleys are excited to announce the arrival of the newest member to the family in December. "Oh! You're pregnant!"
It was a little bit like pulling teeth to get her to understand what I was trying to say, but it does make for a great story! Granny Roady is excited to add another grand-baby to her brood of grandchildren.

I love that your mom's reaction to chocolate disguised as great news was so similar to when Dave proposed to you using chocolate!
M&M doesn't fall far out of the bag? Congratulations!
I had never thought of that parallel! haha
Congratulations to you both... this is wonderful news!
