Virginia Christmas-Part III

*this is a picture heavy post*

We scheduled our trip to Virginia around when Miles and Marisa were going to be in town.  It would be a shame for them to be all the way over on the East Coast and us not see them.

The first day, we met them for dinner and a little shopping at Yankee Candle in Williamsburg.  The boys picked up right where they left off and didn't miss a beat!

Jack and Miles...reunited

Ah, the menus have arrived.  What shall we get?

We wanted a picture to emphasize the twinkle lights in the background

And one that shows we took our babies to a bar-they are unimpressed

not sure what caught their attention here
After dinner, we headed to Yankee Candle to look around.

The boys were mesmerized by the animatronic bears

Big Bird was creepin'

Jack loved the fake snow falling

Jack and I found a reindeer to ride

Miles decided to join in on the fun

Miles realized he could probably drive better than me

The next morning, we met at Sentara Fitness Center for a causal swim lesson with Mrs. Austin (Marisa's mom).  Jack hadn't been in a pool in several months and wasn't too thrilled about having to get in one that day.  Miles, on the other hand, was happy as a clam in the water.

Once we got cleaned up and dressed we headed out for some lunch before we said out goodbyes.

We attempted to get a cute picture of the boys before our time together was over, but we weren't very successful.

Miles and Jack trying to escape

We attempted using an electrical outlet as a distraction (don't try this at home)

Jack said, "that's dangerous" and made a break for it

We were so happy to see Miles and Marisa while they were in town and it makes us sad that we don't get to see them more often.  We treasure our time together and can't wait to see them again soon!

Jack slept the entire way home after all of his fun adventures in Virginia!

Virginia Christmas-Part II

On day two of our stay in Virginia, Dave wanted to go for a run.  I told him he should check out the Noland Trail-a 5 mile long trail that shows off the pretty parts of Newport News.  Jack and I went to drop him off and promised to pick him back up in a hour.

After we dropped him off, Jack and I went to Starbucks for something warm to drink and then a quick stop at Bojangles before heading back to pick up Dave.  When we got back to the park, Jack enjoyed a few Bo'rounds and then he was ready to get out and explore.

After Daddy found us, we headed home to rest up for our playdate with Miles and Marisa later that afternoon...

Virginia Christmas-Part I

We headed up to Virginia the day after Christmas to do the Roady Christmas thing and see Marisa and Miles while they were on the East Coast.

When we first got there, we met up with Kori for lunch.  She was in VA visiting her grandma so we lucky to see her as well.

Reunited and it feels so good
After our visit with Kori, we headed to Gloucester to see the family.

Christmas

The Mulleys appear to have been on the Nice List this year.  Santa Claus came and left a lot of great presents for all of us, especially Jack.
