I know I say it every month, but really....where has the time gone?!?!
We went to the doctor on Tuesday for his 4 month check-up. His current stats are:
Weight: 17 pounds (88th percentile)
Height: 24 inches (18th percentile)
Head: 42.5 centimeters (55th percentile)
Jack continues to be short and round. The doctor is not concerned. In fact, he thinks Jack is looking great. He did strongly suggest we start Jack on solids now since Jack has doubled his birth weight, holds his head up really well and his struggling to feel full. He is nursing all the time and he's just having a hard time getting enough calories from Mommy's love alone.
This month, Jack:
- Holding his head up
- Blowing spit bubbles
- Bashing his toys together
- Grabbing anything is his reach and putting it directly in his mouth
- Standing up with all of his weight on his legs (while we hold him)
- Is more and more vocal- he'll have a 15 minute conversation with himself
- Smiles all the time (not just at Mommy and Daddy but anyone that will look at him)
- Can entertain himself upwards of 45 minutes some days
- Enjoys watching Scout and Molly play
- Rolls from back to front (and front to back)
- Sucks his thumb(s)-often both at the same time
Why suck one thumb when you've got two!?! |
