We scheduled our trip to Virginia around when Miles and Marisa were going to be in town. It would be a shame for them to be all the way over on the East Coast and us not see them.
The first day, we met them for dinner and a little shopping at Yankee Candle in Williamsburg. The boys picked up right where they left off and didn't miss a beat!
Jack and Miles...reunited
Miles giving Jack a lesson on how to use your sippy cup...without your parents help
Ah, the menus have arrived. What shall we get?
The boys reading their menues
We wanted a picture to emphasize the twinkle lights in the background
And one that shows we took our babies to a bar-they are unimpressed
not sure what caught their attention here
The boys were mesmerized by the animatronic bears
Big Bird was creepin'
Jack loved the fake snow falling
Jack and I found a reindeer to ride
Miles decided to join in on the fun
Miles realized he could probably drive better than me
The next morning, we met at Sentara Fitness Center for a causal swim lesson with Mrs. Austin (Marisa's mom). Jack hadn't been in a pool in several months and wasn't too thrilled about having to get in one that day. Miles, on the other hand, was happy as a clam in the water.
Jack working on blowing bubbles
Miles seeing how high he can fly
The boys wearing their matching bags
just asking a few questions at the front desk
Miles and Jack trying to escape
We attempted using an electrical outlet as a distraction (don't try this at home)
Jack said, "that's dangerous" and made a break for it
Miles counting to 10 while Jack goes and hides
Jack slept the entire way home after all of his fun adventures in Virginia!
